Hi beautiful person,
I love the month of May! I get the chance to celeberate the lives of my favourite people on their birthdays. The year is literally flying by and I can’t help but be grateful to God for keeping me alive. Sadly, not everyone has made it this far in the year. I pray for strength on behalf of the families left behind
This has made me question the essence of life . Suprisingly I have stumbled on answers to my questions through youtube videos , books , music and last week’s message in church. The Pastor spoke about how important it is to make a POSITIVE impact in one’s life. He spoke about how simple this can be achieved in our daily interactions with the people we meet.
The message seemed simple yet it was powerful! It reminded me of what Eric Thomas shared in his Youtube video on’ I made my mark‘ . As the Pastor preached I asked myself ‘Florence, are you doing enough? What more can you do? How are you impacting the lives of people around you?’.
We live in an era where everyone wants immediate results. Most of us have mentors or ‘role models’, but when we see the process they went through in order to get to where they are today we aren’t willing to put in the same amount of efforts. This is the reason I stopped watching’ Keeping up with the Kardarshians’ as I realised how much time I was wasting when I could be making the most out of my life . This isn’t saying there is anything wrong in supporting others, however you have to make sure you don’t get left behind…
Find your passion! It has the ability to drive you towards your purpose. Sometimes it is a matter of asking yourself ‘what truly makes me happy?’. Once you’ve figured it out, then you can pay more attention to it and works towards taking it from a potential to a purpose. I have always had a passion for working with people and with people, hence why I decided to study Social Care in College. After the shocking news of a family friend losing their loved one. Every morning I wake up I know God has given me another chance to give my life my best shot.
I get so excited when I see young people doing great things, especially young women! They have paved the way for people like me and you to walk in. I always tell myself ‘ if she can do it, so can I’. It is all about leaving yourself with no other option but to be successful !!!! You’ve gotta give your life your BEST shot. I truly believe we are all here for a reason.
