I am really excited about today’s post. I have started building a momentum for this year’s summer holiday here on the Blog. I shared a post suggesting 5 ways to make the most out of your summer and one of the points I suggested was learning a new skill. I have decided to improve my photography skills. This includes capturing moments and editing images. I believe we are living in an era where imagery is an efficient means to pass message to people. Hence, my desire to do so in the most imaginative way possible. Quick disclaimer before we move on* this post is a collaboration with Prettylittlething for their holiday shop campaign.
I wanted clothes that would make me feel like I was on holidays despite still being in Dublin. I did my research on Ireland’s most beautiful beaches and came to a decision. Dun Laoghaire Pier is a suburban seaside town, some people say it is not a beach but it is such a beautiful spot with so much to do. Myself and a blogger friend Te-Styles ended up doing more than we expected, we spent the whole day at Dun Laoghaire , we went on a walk around the town, talked, laughed and captured lots beautiful moments (there is also a cruise tour available, though we did not have time to get on this). The weather was amazing, thank God! I really enjoyed connecting with nature. My feet and skin felt the warmth of the sun and I must say I felt like I was on a holiday.
After the Dún Laoighaoire trip I think going on a trip around Ireland’s scenery will be fun and exciting. While this sounds like a great idea, finding the time would be the challenge but I will definitely be visiting more beaches while I plan my next summer holiday away.
Ok! Let’s briefly talk about my outfits -my favourite is the two piece set. I absolutely love the bright colours! Red is a colour that always seems to find a way into my heart. I cannot tell you how many red clothes I own. I am glad, I choose the chain beach kimono paired with the chain beach flares in the colour red. It is a bit on the long side but I am a 5.3 so this is a typical issue I face with clothes in general especially bottom wears. But this flared trousers paired with heels would work just fine anywhere other than the beach and I feel the same with the kimono.
I also love how effortless this white bardot shift dress makes me look! White is a colour I shy away from but every time I wear it, I ask myself why because it gives off a stylish appearance. Just as the colour red, white clothing makes you stand out which is a perfect motive for the summer and the clean look!
